Bennett Tucker grew up in Warrenton, Virginia. He earned his bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Maritime Transportation at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He worked as a navigation officer on international cargo ships with Maersk Line for twelve years. Then he earned his master’s degree (M.A.) in Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art at the University of London. He earned a second master’s degree (M.A.) in Israel Studies at the Rothberg International School at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He now lives in Haifa, Israel. He is a freelance news correspondent and cultural critic, and is earning a PhD in the history of modern architecture and interior design at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.
