Bennett Tucker lives in Haifa, Israel. He is a freelance news correspondent and cultural critic, and is earning a PhD in the history of modern architecture and design at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology. Bennett grew up in Warrenton, Virginia, earned his bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Maritime Transportation at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, and worked as a navigation officer on international cargo ships with Maersk Line for twelve years. After ending his shipping career, Bennett earned a master’s degree (M.A.) in Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art at the University of London. He earned a second master’s degree (M.A.) in Israel Studies at the Rothberg International School at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
